Compute cluster

Concept and definition

Compute cluster

What is Compute cluster?

A compute cluster is a group of connected computers that work together to perform data processing tasks faster and more efficiently than a single computer. In the context of artificial intelligence and machine learning, compute clusters are used to run machine learning and deep learning algorithms on large data sets. By distributing the workload across multiple computers, compute clusters can significantly reduce the time needed to train complex models and perform advanced data analysis. In addition, compute clusters can also provide redundancy and fault tolerance to ensure that critical artificial intelligence systems continue to function even if one or more computers fail.
